1) The £10 Cash Back promotion (“Promotion”) is open to UK residents aged 18 years or over. Employees (or family members of employees) of any PayPal company, its affiliates, subsidiary companies (“PayPal”), eBay international A.G., its affiliates, subsidiary companies (“eBay”), GE Capital Bank Limited, its affiliates, subsidiary companies (“GE”), any representatives or agents of these companies and anyone else who may be professionally involved with the Promotion may not enter. GE reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. This promotion is limited to the original intended recipient of the promotional message. Applications from individuals who have not been sent the promotional message by PayPal are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.
2) The Promotion begins 00:00:01 BST on 5th September 2007 and finishes the earlier of 23:59:59 on 2nd October 2007 or when 4,500 entrants have successfully applied for, activated and used their PayPal credit card to make a minimum £30 initial purchase ("Promotional Period"). Successful entrants have until 2nd November 2007 to spend £30 in order to qualify for £10 cash back.
3) To be a successful entrant and to be eligible to receive a £10 cash back payment, entrants must: (i) have a valid PayPal account or must register for a valid PayPal account if they have not already done so; and (ii) be amongst the first 4,500 entrants to have successfully applied for a PayPal Credit Card, have activated their PayPal Credit Card and made a minimum £30 purchase anywhere using their PayPal Credit Card (“Successful Entrant”). Each Successful Entrant will receive an email from PayPal indicating to them that their PayPal Account will be credited with a £10 cash back payment.
4) When applying for their PayPal Credit Card each entrant must provide GE with a valid email address. This email address will be used by GE and PayPal to match the PayPal Credit Card applicant with their PayPal account.
5) GE and / or PayPal reserve(s) the right to add additional terms and conditions to this Promotion.
6) Successful Entrants will receive their £10 cashback payment from PayPal within 28 days of the end of the Promotional Period.
7) A list of Successful Entrants' names and counties of residence will be available for two months after the end of the Promotional Period, by sending a stamped self addressed envelope (SSAE) to PayPal £10 Cash Back Promotion to: Karen L Johnson, GE Money, 6 Agar Street, London, WC2N 4HR.
8) In the event of any circumstances arising outside of GE’s control, which in GE’s opinion make it necessary to suspend, change or cancel the Promotion, GE reserves the right to suspend, change or cancel the Promotion at anytime.
9) If GE has suspicions or knowledge that an entrant has been involved in any fraudulent or illegal activity in relation to the Promotion, GE reserves the right to disqualify the entrant and any related entrants. GE may also disqualify any entrant that does not act in accordance with these terms and conditions, the GE credit card terms or PayPal’s rules and polices.
10) Entries maybe withdrawn by GE or PayPal from individuals using the Promotion in a way which GE or PayPal deem(s) inappropriate at its sole discretion.
11) GE shall not be liable, in contract or tort (including negligence) for breach of statutory duty, or in any other way, for the loss or damage howsoever arising suffered by an entrant resulting directly or indirectly from entry to this Promotion. Nothing in these terms shall limit GE’s liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
12) GE does not accept, and is not responsible for, any lost or delayed entries. GE reminds entrants of the nature of limitations of the internet and is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any communications network, online system or computer hardware or software that may affect entry to the Promotion.
13) Although GE will use reasonable efforts to ensure that all information relating to the Promotion (“Promotional Material”) is accurate, GE is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any communications network online system or computer hardware or software that may affect GE’s operation of the Promotion or the GE or PayPal website, including without limitation the accuracy or any Promotional Material.
14) GE may use third parties to facilitate one or more elements of this Promotion and may provide some of your personal identifiable information to them. These third party service providers are subject to confidentiality agreements with GE and other legal restrictions that prohibit the use of the information GE provides them for any purpose except to facilitate the specific outsourced GE related operation. See the GE Privacy Policy for further information. For the avoidance of doubt, GE will take no responsibility for cancellations or defaults by a third party supplier.
15) The decision of GE is final and legally binding. No correspondence will be entered into. By entering the Promotion, entrants agree to and are bound by these general terms and all other special conditions that are specific to this Promotion.
